Organ Preservation

Preservation of whole organs encounters complexities that surpass the preservation of cells alone. Multiple cell systems must be preserved and multiple layers of tissue provide an added consideration for solution formulation and the physics of preservation. Utilizing a preservation solution that is appropriate for the specific tissue must also be considered, as a solution that provides a recognized level of preservation in one tissue may not provide equivalent preservation in another tissue.

Presently, hypothermic preservation of organs provides a greater degree of overall cell and tissue viability in comparison to cryopreservation. Our research and development team is investigating novel improvements in organ preservation made possible with HypoThermosol. Please contact us to learn more about improved organ preservation.
