BIOLIFE SOLUTIONS INC. COMPLETES RELOCATION TO BOTHELL, WA

Move to Seattle-Area Biotech Hub Improves Customer Service, Access to Researchers

BOTHELL, WA – April 30, 2007 – BioLife Solutions Inc. (OTC BB: BLFS), a leading developer and manufacturer
of proprietary liquid preservation media for cells, tissues, and organs, today announced it completed the
relocation of its corporate office and operations, except production, to a biotech campus in Bothell, WA, a
suburb of Seattle.

Chief Executive Mike Rice remarked: “Our strategic planning process identified areas for optimizing our
infrastructure to best execute our growth strategies. And this move allows us to better serve all of our
customers and enhance collaborations with leading research centers, including the University of
Washington and the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.”

Production of BioLife’s patented preservation media products will continue in Owego, NY. The Company is
also evaluating several contract manufacturers to augment production capacity to meet future demand for
its products.

As part of its expanded sales and marketing strategy, BioLife will be exhibiting and presenting at the

• BIO 2007 annual international convention, May 6-9 in Boston
• American Society of Gene Therapy (ASGT) annual meeting, May 30–June 3 in Seattle
• International Society for Stem Cell Research (ISSCR) annual meeting, June 17-21 in Cairns, Australia
• International Society for Cellular Therapy (ISCT) annual meeting, June 24-27 in Sydney, Australia
