Cell Thawing Media
Cell and tissue thawing
The Cell Thawing Media products originated from a Dextran shortage in the leukapheresis industry. Blood products need an added buffer for long-term storage.
Why is Cell Thawing Media so important:
- Thawing media rapidly dilutes the cryoprotectant concentration and reduces the risk of cell toxicity.
- As cells thaw, they can experience osmotic stress due to rapid changes in water concentration. Thawing media provides a buffer, helping to prevent cell damage.
- Thawing can be stressful for cells. This media contains nutrients and other factors that support cell recovery, allowing them to resume normal functions.
- Successfully dilutes or removes cryoprotectants’ post-preservation.
- Formulated specifically for washing cells and tissues after thawing.
- Pre-formulated and ready for use
- Serum and protein-free
- USP/Highest quality components
- cGMP manufactured
- Sterility, endotoxin and pH release testing
Available in two concentrations and one size:
- 10% Dextran 40 (in 5% Dextrose), 250 mL bag.
- 10% Dextran 40 (in 0.9% NaCI Saline), 250 mL bag.
