Everything You Need to Know Before The Cell Summit ’25

As we gear up for The Cell Summit ’25, we want to make sure you have all the details you need to plan your trip, navigate the event, and make the most of your time in Indianapolis. From hotel and shuttle logistics to what to wear and where to eat, this FAQ covers it all.

GENERAL INFORMATION

The Cell Summit will be held at Newfields Art Museum, a beautiful campus located just 15 minutes from downtown Indianapolis. Transportation will be provided to and from the event each day. The presentations will be in the Randolph H. Deer Pavilion.

Yes. The following meals are included in your registration:

  • Breakfast, lunch, and snacks during both days at Newfields
  • Dinner during our social event at the baseball game on Tuesday night

SCHEDULE OVERVIEW

  • 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM: Event check-in at the JW Marriott lobby on 2nd Floor due to Construction
  • Stop by The Cell Summit check-in table to pick up your name badge, meeting packet, and other important materials.
  • If you are unable to check in Monday evening, you’ll receive your badge Tuesday morning at Newfields Art Museum.
  • 8:00 AM: Shuttle departs from JW Marriott to Newfields
  • 8:15 AM – 5:15 PM: Full day of presentations, panels, and networking at Newfields Art Museum
  • 5:30 PM: Gates open at Victory Field for the Indianapolis Indians game
  • 6:35 PM: First pitch!
    The stadium is a short walk from the hotel—come as you are or stop by your room to change before joining us on the First Base Terrace. Dinner and drinks provided.
  • ~10:00 PM: Game ends
  • 8:00 AM: Shuttle departs from JW Marriott to Newfields
  • 8:15 AM – 1:30 PM: Morning sessions and wrap-up at Newfields
  • 1:30 PM – 3:00 PM: Choose your own afternoon experience:
    • Option 1: Board the bus to Azenta Life Sciences for a facility tour
    • Option 2: Stay at Newfields for an R&D Discussion with BioLife Solutions
    • Option 3: Return early to the JW Marriott to depart or relax
  • ~3:00 PM: All buses will return to JW Marriott for afternoon departures

HOTEL INFORMATION

We have a room block at the JW Marriott Downtown Indianapolis, a premier hotel located in the heart of the city.

If you haven’t already booked your stay, please do so with this link. Our room block will close on July 15th.

Yes, but please know this will be your responsibility to research and afford. Here are some of the various experiences the hotel advertises on their website.

TRANSPORTATION & SHUTTLE SCHEDULE

No, you will be responsible for your own transportation to the JW Marriott from the airport.

Yes! Royal Indy Bus Services will be shuttling attendees between the JW Marriott and Newfields Art Museum on both days.

Tuesday, August 5

  • Bus departs JW Marriott at 8:00 AM
  • Bus returns from Newfields at 5:30 PM

Wednesday, August 6

  • Bus departs JW Marriott at 8:00 AM
  • Bus returns from Newfields at 1:30 PM

The Indianapolis International Airport is about twenty minutes away from the JW Marriott Downtown Indianapolis hotel.

On Wednesday afternoon, attendees will split into three tracks based on their selection during registration:

  1. Tour Azenta Life Sciences Repository – A bus will take this group to Azenta and return them to the JW Marriott after the tour around 3:00 PM.

  2. R&D Discussion with BioLife Solutions at Newfields – This session will remain onsite, with a bus returning participants to the JW Marriott at 3:00 PM.

  3. Depart the meeting early – If you’re heading out after the main session ends at 1:30 PM, a bus will be available to return you to the hotel.

You’re also welcome to use your own transportation at any point if preferred.

TUESDAY EVENING EVENT – BASEBALL GAME

Join us for an evening at the ballpark! We’ve reserved the First Base Terrace at Victory Field to enjoy an Indianapolis Indians game. It’s a fun, casual setting with food, drinks, and great company.

Victory Field is located right next to the JW Marriott; you are welcome to walk over at your leisure.

Our Backyard BBQ package includes:

  • Hamburgers, hot dogs, and BBQ pulled chicken
  • Mac & Cheese, Pasta Salad, Fresh Fruit Salad
  • Cookies
  • Assorted Pepsi products, Bud Light, Michelob ULTRA, Yuengling, a Seltzer beer and bottled water
  • Two beers per guest

Yes, when you registered for this event, you selected your food sensitivities. We will be respecting them all. If you did not do this when you registered, please email: marketingcommunications@biolifesolutions.com

Tickets will be handed out prior to the game on Tuesday.

WEATHER, DRESS CODE & PACKING TIPS

Attire for the event is business casual. For the baseball game, we suggest casual, comfortable clothing suitable for an outdoor event. The terrace is open-air but covered.

The dinner will still be served rain or shine. If the game is canceled before it begins, you’ll receive a rain check ticket for another 2025 home game.

BioLife Solutions will be providing pens, a meeting packet with notes section, and goodies (like an Indianapolis Indians baseball hat) for all attendees. If you would like to bring your computer or something else to take notes in, please do.

ATTENDANCE

Attendees include leaders from biotech, pharma, CDMOs, academic institutions, and tech/tool providers. You’ll meet professionals in R&D, process development, manufacturing, and strategy. It’s a curated group driving innovation across the CGT ecosystem.
